Ginger the Gentle Giant is a timeless story for all who love animals. The story centers around a family who lives in Prescott, Arizona and they rescue horses. When they save Ginger, a Belgian draft, their lives are transformed. Ginger embodiies the best animals have to offer us: companionship, trust, and love and in return our world is enlarged, more vibrant, and caring place to live; and we become better for it.

Chesley Ross was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1949. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree and her Master's in Education from Long Beach State University. Ms Ross has owned horses most of her life. Riding, training, and caring for rescued animals has been her passion. Her inspiration for writing her first novel came from meeting Ginger on a rescue ranch in Arizona. Drawn to both her size and gentle temperament, she felt compelled to tell Ginger's story.
