Deanie Humphrys-Dunne spent her childhood at a riding school in Easton, CT. She has always enjoyed writing and is a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature. She has had an article published in "Horsepower" Magazine. Charlie the Horse is her second book. The first one, Tails of Sweetbrier, was published in 2009. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Francis, their sons, Brendan and Shane, and their dog, Elliott. Deanie's other interests include watching equestrian events, music, and singing. She is an avid Yankee fan and she likes watching figure skating events.
