Grandma unlatched the stall door and led the pony out. "She certainly is. She’s even prettier than her mother, Ebony, was. You remember Ebony was your mother’s pony when she was a little older than you, Rosie. Ebony taught your mom to ride, just like Jet is teaching you. After your mom and aunt, Julie, outgrew her, many of my students learned to ride on Ebony."

Hi, I'm Vicki Watson the book, "Rosie and Scamper" has been a lifelong process, although I just started the actual writing a little over a year ago. God had been creating the story throughout my life. It all began when a neighbor offered me my first ride on the back of her palomino Quarter Horse. That was the only time she ever took me for a ride and I'm sure she never knew the impact that it had on me.

I was eight years old and from that moment on I became obsessed with horses. I read every book about horses in our school and county library numerous times. I dreamed about them and drew pictures of them. I wanted one so badly that it felt like a physical ache.

The book, "Rosie and Scamper" is a fictional account that draws on the experiences I had with horses as a child and also as an adult with my own daughters. I hope you enjoy the book.
