Author Interview Linda Wedding
Lollipop will conduct the author interview of Linda's horse Baby.
Lolli: Baby it is good to meet you. Please tell the readers a little about yourself.
Baby: My name is Baby, I am a Paint in breed and I am tri-colored and I have the prettiest blue eyes you have ever seen.
Lolli: Well, yes they are quite blue. How did you get the name Baby?
Baby: My name was given to me by everyone at the horse rescue where I was boarded with my horse mom. Everyone there just loved me and the way I always followed my horse mom where ever she went. Everyone would say,"Isn't the baby so cute". So when my human mom and dad were able to adopt me they liked the nickname and kept it as my name because I would be their 'Baby Girl". I like my name very much, but I especially like it when I hear Dad call my name, he is my person. My Mom and Dad are Dave and Linda Wedding, they are the best parents ever! They make my heart go giddy up!
Lolli: Do you consider yourself the boss, friend or partner of Linda?
Baby: I am Linda's friend, I belong to her and Dad, her husband Dave. They met me at the horse rescue where I used to live. I love my mom and dad very much, but I truly belong to dad.
Lolli: Are you portrayed in any of your mom's book? Did she do an accurate job of showing the real you? Does she know the real you?
Baby: My mom portrayed me so accurately in both of her books, she knows me so very well. I am the voice of her books, although there are three other horses who star in the books, my best friends Gizmo, Queenie and Roper Star and my goat friends Alice, Star and Reba she showed what a sweet, gentle, kind, learning horse that I am. Mom says I am a real sweetheart!

Lolli: You mom has written a couple books. Which is your favorite book?
Baby: My favorite book is the,"Blue Eyed Tri-Colored American Paint: A Lesson in Trust for Baby". It is my favorite because it is all about me and lessons that I learned while growing up on Grandma Kinner's farm with Gizmo, Queenie and Roper Star.
Lolli: What is the best time you had with your mom and dad?
Baby: I have the best time whenever mom and dad are with me, they are a lot of fun, but I truly have the best time when the 6 grandgirls come for a visit. That is just the best time I ever have. They play with me groom me, and give me lots of good treats to eat!
Lolli: Yes the children are very important in my life as well. I am glad to hear you enjoy their company. When your mom is writing does she stay chained to the computer and forget about you? What do you do for entertainment?
Baby: I live on Grandma Kinner's Farm, I do not live with mom and dad, but they come to the farm twice a day as they live very close to Grandma Kinner to take care of us. We so love when dad has days off then they spend the entire day with us. Then when they go home, I play with the other horses and the goats. We then spend a lot of time grazing together and mom generally can't wait to get home to write about something that I or one of us has done to include in her stories. Sometimes I do silly things and I make mom laugh so.
Lolli: When she gets a good review does she share it with you? What do the two of you do to celebrate?
Baby: When Mom gets a good review of our book, she is so very happy, she hugs me and rubs all over me with joy and she shares a big red apple with me. Then we have a special party and we all get lots of horses cookies.
Lolli: Wish you had brought some of those cookies with you. Do you want to share some advice with other horses whose mom is thinking of becoming and author?
Baby: Mom has said it is very hard, we make her writing easy, but it is sometimes difficult to get published and then to have her book to actually sell since she is an unknown author, but I have heard mom say and I truly believe this myself that if you feel you have something to share that can teach, make some one laugh, tug at someone's heart strings or that may make a difference in someone's, life be it human or animal then you should follow your dream and write. Live your dream, make a difference. Inside every book is an adventure just waiting to happen.
Lolli: You and your mom are right. One must always reach for dreams. I love to have my girls read books to me. Books are very important in the life of children. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
