A Collection of Horse Essays, Stories and Poetry
Just what are Horse essays? Here is Good ol’ Webster’s take on essays: a short literary composition on a particular theme or subject, usually in prose, and generally analytic, speculative, or interpretive.
More to the point an essay is nothing more--or less--than the written, intimate thoughts and heartfelt feelings of a person, young or old, about our favorite subjects: horses and ponies.
If your passion is horses and ponies, or just reading about them when you can’t ride or care for one, you may well enjoy these short stories about your passion--and ours.
This Shelf of Sharon’s Corner Bookstore is devoted to such stories. We make no pretense that our collection is Great Literature. We do believe, however, that they are enjoyable, even rewarding and informative reading.
They are all short. They may be true, they may be flights of fancy. They may have a bit of a plot, like a short story. You may only want to read one at a sitting.
Do you have a reminiscence, funny story, or tragic tale you would like to share with other browsers at Sharon’s Corner Bookstore?
We do welcome all contributions of
