Horse Tails by Shasta

In this true story a precocious horse, named Shasta, tells his own life’s story filled with adventures, fun, and sorrow. This children's book is 28 pages with every page colorfully illustrated.

Shasta's adventures include trying to befriend a porcupine, snowman, kid goat, neighborhood ponies and dogs. By the time other horses finally join him in his pasture, his antics of getting loose and wandering his neighborhood free have become a habit and are legendary.

Shasta lived to be 30 years old.

Recommended for children under 9 years old, and horse lovers of any age.





Horse Tails by Mookie the Mustang

Mookie tells his own story of growing up in the wild. With every page colorfully illustrated by Brenda Ellis Sauro, he explains the hierarchy and etiquette within a horse family band and where he fits in as a foal, a yearling, and a bachelor.

His adventures include carefree romping with his friends, splashing in water holes, befriending a Bighorn lamb, startling a rattlesnake and encountering a mountain lion, as well as experiencing thirst, hunger and cold, before being rounded up and adopted.

Children and horse lovers of all ages will love this story.

About the author:

Patricia Probert Gott is a retired business woman who resides in rural Maine. She is an accomplished equestrienne who trains her own Arabian horses and has been horse trekking in ten states and in seven countries. Ms Gott has written six books; her seventh, book about Mookie the Mustang, will be released July 2009.
