Rainbow Coloured Horses
Chasing Rainbows

Rainbow Penny is the reason I breed rainbow coloured horses, I believe that if all the horses I bred, were only half as good as her, then they would all be excellent horses.
Chasing Rainbows is a collection of stories about Penny, Kingy and Ace it also reveals the history of their ancestors.
My book is a collection of true stories about an exceptional mare who comes along only once in a life time. A mare who became the foundation of a entire stud.
Read about her son, who also sired some memorable individuals plus other Rainbow horses and their ancestors.
You will be amazed at the intelligence of Rainbow horses.
Coloured photographs, humorous and adventurous stories, of mustering on Stations in Southern New Zealand.

Rainbow Stud is situated under the Takitimu Mountain range in Western Southland, with the Hunter Mountains on the western side. This makes us very close to the Fiordland National Parks. Our views are spectacular, I feel privileged to be able to call such a place home.
The horses are run on good steep hill country and are well used to every aspect of terrain. They are very sure footed and handle the steepest of hills, to the boggiest of places with ease.
Like all good breeding, BLOODLINES ARE EVERYTHING.
The fact is I breed coloured horses. I do not breed for colour. Which may sound like a contradiction in terms, but the genes I want have always been sighted on the PINTO Blueprint of chromosomes from decades ago.
Also with some of the best and proven JUMPING thoroughbred blood incorporated in there along the way it has given us the best of performance in every drop of blood.
"Chasing Rainbows" the story of Rainbow Penny and the Rainbow Coloured Horses.
