The DAYES Of Wyoming

The DAYES of Wyoming

by Patricia Probert Gott

This historic novel takes place during the late 1800s to early 1900s in northern Wyoming, from Johnson County, east of the Bighorns, to Yellowstone, west of the Continental Divide.

Bertha and Charlie Daye’s adventures include guiding eastern guests into remote mountain paradises on horseback, rounding up wild horses, riding in thrilling overland horse races, and adopting children who traveled west on one of the famous Orphan Trains and the ensuing adjustments they would all have to make if they were to become a family.

Reviews:

I have read and thoroughly enjoyed "The Dayes of Wyoming." It transported me back to our times in Wyoming and brought back such a lot of happy Rimrock-memories, it was pure joy. I could picture everything so well, I knew where you'd been and the Dayes went, because I'd experienced it all as well... Hope that you have many more such treats for me in the pipe-line! DITZ, London artist extraordinaire.

I finished your book and I really liked it. It was authentic , well written and well paced. The characters are realistic of the era and very believable. It was truly an armchair adventure in the old west. Your knowledge of the area and of horses came through clearly. The Orphan Train added additional human interest. PHYLLIS MOORE, author "Maxi's Choice"

About the author:

Author Patricia Probert Gott is businesswoman who retired from owning and managing her own roller skating rink for 24 years. From her home outside Norway, Maine, she seeks out life experiences that have taken her horse trekking on four continents and nine pack trips in six western U.S. States.

She was a ranch wrangler and trail guide for four summers in Wyoming, thus her obvious familiarity and love of Wyoming, (which is the setting of her western stories). She began riding bareback at the age of eight and has owned, raised, and trained English and Western horses ever since, accounting for her knowledge and experience with horses as detailed in her previous cowgirl series books and her two children's horse stories. This is her eighth book Pat presently owns two Arabians: one she raised and trained herself, she uses both for trail riding, with endurance tack.
